THE NAZIS THAT GOT AWAY WITH IT! (LIST)This section of our website came as a shock to us. Like so many others we believed that at the end of World War Two most of the NAZIS were captured, tried, convicted and either sentenced to death or to very long prison sentences. Nothing could be further from the truth! Please note that not all historians agree about who got away and who didn't. The thing about historians is that most of them like "history" to stay pinned-down. They really hate it when someone says ... "Are you really 100% sure? The reallity is that history is a picture made from joining up the dots. Sometimes the lines do get pu in the wrong place.
10,000 NAZIS GOT AWAY WITH IT!It is now believed that with the help of the ODESSA Network, the Spider Network (Die Spinne), The Catholic Church, BOSS, The Gehlen group, the NKVD and the CIA, as well as many others including Operation Paperclip, approximately 10,000 important NAZI Personnel survived the war and largely escaped the justice they may have deserved. Collectively they enjoyed an additional 110,000 years of freedom and have deeply influenced almost all modern governments to this very day.

There is now no doubt that this happened. Some of the details regarding specific individuals may never be known but with the aid of the internet it may be possible to piece together the entire list in the fullness of time.

During the Nuremberg Trials he was tried as a war criminal and found guilty of war crimes and crimes against humanity. Although sentenced to life imprisonment in 1951 he only served 3 years and was released in 1954.
Lived the rest of his life in Dusseldorf and died in 1972

FRANZ XAVER SCHWARZREICHSSCHATZMEISTER (NATIONAL TREASURER) OF THE NAZI PARTY
Allegedly died in an Allied prison camp near Regensburg on December 2, 1947 due to recurring gastric troubles. Schwarz is believed to be one of only six men that knew where all the looted treasure of the NAZIS had been stored. It is now widely believed that he traded some of this knowledge for a fake death and a future life. Practicality triumphs over morality again!

FRITZ FISCHER: SS-ARZT (DOCTOR)MAJORNAZI CONCENTRATION CAMP DOCTOR
He signed up with the SS in 1934, became a member of the NSDAP in June 1937 in 1941, after being wounded, was sent to the Ravensbrück concentration camp to be an assistant to the notorious Dr. Karl Gebhardt. During this period he assisted with many surgical procedures that were nothing less than human experimentation. Captured after the war he was sentenced to Life imprisonment but in 1951 this was reduced to 15 years. Three years later (1954) he was free and joined a major pharmaceutical company in Germany. He died in 2003 of natural causes. He should not be confused with Fritz Fischer the historian (1908-1999).

Allegedly committed suicide on May 23, 1945 but it is increasingly likely that the person who died was a double. This is a hotly debated subject. In a later section we present our findings and the reasons - some compelling - as to why we believe he escaped justice.

HERTA OBERHEUSER (SS-ARZT (DOCTOR / ASSISTANT)NAZI CONCENTRATION CAMP DOCTOR ASSISTANT
Oberheuser was the only woman tried at the Nuremberg trials. From 1940 to 1943 she was assigned as a medical assistant to Dr. Karl Gebhardt at the Ravensbrück women’s concentration camp and participated in a number of horrific human experiments designed to simulate war injuries. Some of this involved rubbing iron filings, septic dirt, wood chips, cordite, chlorine and other chemicals into artificially induced wounds. Other charges suggested that she deliberately injected children with Evipan (hypnotic barbiturate) and then conducted amputations and organ tests. Some reports claim that her patients were conscious while this took place. She was found guilty at the Nuremberg “Doctors Trials” and sentenced to twenty years. She was released for good behaviour in 1954 and for a short while became a doctor Stocksee before she was discovered and her medical license revoked. She died in 1978.

JOSIAS KUMPF
NAZI CONCENTRATION CAMP GUARDBelieved to have been actively involved in Operation Harvest Festival (Aktion Erntefest), a secret programme of mass extermination that took place in the Lublin district of Eastern Poland during November 1943. Planned and authorised by Deputy Reichsführer Heinrich Himmler it started on the 3rd of November 1943 at the concentration camp of Majdanek and included the Trawniki Labour Camp and the holding camp “Szebnie” near Jaslo. It is estimated that on this day alone 18,000 people were murdered at Majdanek, 10,000 at Trawniki and a further 2,000 at Szebnie. In total more than 30,000 lives were taken on this single day. By his own admission Josias Kumpf took part in these massacres. Due to the vast scale of the event and the lack of witnesses the role of Kumpf was initially overlooked and in 1956 he emigrated from Austria to the USA. In 1964 he was awarded American citizenship. His role in the massacres only fully became known in 2003 as the result of a civil lawsuit. In 2005 his citizenship was revoked and he was finally deported to Austria in march of 2009. Austria declined to prosecute him for war crimes as the statute of limitations had expired. Born in 1925 he is alive at the time of writing June 2009. He has never been convicted of war crimes and in 2003 denied that he had actively participated although he admitted being forced to be a soldier “at a bad place where bad things happened.”

MARTIN BORMANN: DEPUTY REICH’S FÜHRERADOLPH HITLER’S MOST TRUSTED ASSISTANT
Fled from the Berlin in the final hours of the war. No convincing proof that he was killed. In fact, the Allies were so sure that he had escaped that they tried him in his absence at the Nuremberg trials and found him guilty of war crimes. Embarrassed by their inability to prove what had happened to him they eventually declared him dead based on the Axmann account. (Coincidental name?) As he was conveniently believed to have died no real effort was made to find him. We have found an unusual report that he was captured by the Russians and worked for them for two years but was released in 1947 and moved to Argentina where he met up with other escaped NAZIS. Suspicions of his whereabouts became known in the late 1950’s and fearing capture he moved to apartheid South Africa in 1961 to become a wealthy maize farmer and arms dealer in the Orange Free State (still a stronghold of Germanic / Dutch white supremacist Afrikaners) where he adopted the name “Martin de Terblanche” but pronounced it Terra Blanche which means “Earth White” or “The White Earth”. Directly translated into English, Martin de Terra Blanche would mean “War God of the White Earth”. (Surprised?) He is one of the few high Nazi officials (together with Franz Xaver Schwarz) believed to have known where all the looted treasures were stored. Also believed to have fathered a son Stephen L. in 1963 with a mistress. The child was adopted by a Greek Fascist supporter from Johannesburg. OTTO SKORZENY: SS-OBERSTURMBANNFÜHRER GERMAN WAFFEN-SSGERMAN WAR HERO AND ARCHITECT OF THE SPIDER NETWORK (DIE SPINNE)
In fairness, Skorzeny was a remarkable soldier and had he been on the winning side he would have been a hero. He fought heroically on the Western Front and personally rescued Italian dictator Mussolini from his mountain top prison by using a very light aircraft that could land and take off with almost no runway – the Fieseler Fi 156 Storch. (Operation Oak) The plane he used is very likely the same aircraft on display at the South African Air Force Museum based at Swartkops Air Force Base - Pretoria. (Acquired 1946). There is no real evidence that he committed any serious war crimes although he was charged with having disguised his soldiers as US Military personnel during the Battle of the Bulge. He was acquitted on a technicality by the Dachau Military Tribunal and escaped from his Darmstadt holding camp in 1948. He lived in Bavaria with the daughter of another Nazi that got away - Hjalmar Schacht. Skorzeny remained a committed NAZI even though he was officially denazified in absentia in 1952. From 1950 he worked to build the highly successful “Die Spinne” network that is believed to have helped over 600 former SS personnel to escape to Argentina, Chile, Spain, South Africa and other countries. In the 1960’s he set up the Paladin paramilitary group. One of his clients was The South African Bureau of State Security (BOSS). This coincided with the alleged arrival of Martin Bormann to the same country. He died of cancer in 1975 aged 67.

Originally captured and detained in Scotland he worked for the British and USAF. (Believed to have been an ardent NAZI.) May have been given a job with NASA.

PAUL WERNER HOPPE: SS STURMBANNFÜHRER (MAJOR)NAZI CONCENTRATION CAMP COMMANDER OF STUTTHOF AND WÖBBELIN (1942 – 1945)
May have been responsible for the deaths of 10,000 people as a result of the Death March to Lebork and later events during the Massacre at Neustadt. Seven years in jail then got on with his life! Believed to have died in 1974.

Escaped from Rimini after the war, became a spy officer in the middle East, settled in Chile, died of natural causes in May 1984

WILHELM BEIGLBÖCK (PROF. DR.) SA OBERSTURMBANNFÜHRERNAZI CONCENTRATION CAMP DOCTOR
Conducted experiments on the camp inmates involving exposure to seawater. Arrested after the war and found guilty of war crimes and crimes against humanity. Sentenced to 15 years in 1951 which was later commuted to 10 years. It is believed that he was released early after only serving seven years (including his original detention) and from 1952 – 1963 he returned to the University of Freiburg and was later appointed as the Senior Internist at the Hospital of Buxtehude

JOSEF SCHEUNGRABER (INFANTRY COMMANDER)Personally responsible for killing 10 Italian Civilians during World War Two. He was finally, convicted of war crimes in 2009 but is unlikely to ever go to jail as he is now aged 90 years.
Escaped Real Justice: 64 extra years of freedom This is as far as we have got for now. We will keep adding to the list ... if only to prove our point. Still, it is unpleasant work listing these NAZI personnel and their crimes. How did they get away with it for so long? None of the answers are very nice. The answer; carelessness, a desire to forget, political expediency, scientific gain, lack of resource, lack of will and shear overwhelming numbers.
